Profoundly influenced by the modern cult and the artist’s own relationship with religion, this installation is a culmination of new works that seek to interrogate the uncertain individuality and desperation to succeed of the unlikely outsider, within the constructs of the concept of the contemporary art world as a cult-like institution.

Meandering through life as creative entities pining for the validation of our peers and the anonymous cool clubs that ornament the contemporary art world, do we share a sense of collective solidarity and understanding or a concealed competitiveness?

To appease these unknown higher powers and satisfy our need for acceptance, do we accidentally put on a uniform?

​

Does the artist, in times of uncertainty, become fixated on ways of making to please those who we do not know? The concept of uniforming attempts to question how we deal with conflicted creative confidence. Are we aligning ourselves with what we think is current and the correct way to live, and in turn commit originative suicide, which may inevitably hinder the failure to realise our own exclusive potential.
